Genomic
Interactions Group
Our
research spans five major areas of interest:
- The discovery of signal molecules
that control the activity of plant stems cells
- The underlying mechanisms that control
stem cell initiation and differentiation in roots
and model systems
- Exploring plants as sources of bioenergy
- The mode of action on bioactive plant-derived
molecules in mammals
- The development of novel bioinformatics
approaches for the analysis of gene expression and
the characterisation of non-coding RNAs, with a
view of supporting and enhancing aspects of projects
1 and 2.
Participants
will be given an exposure to these projects and the
technologies that underpin them.
