OBTAINING DIPLOMO
=================
For non commercial use, DIPLOMO can be obtained free of charge
from the Australian National University.
1) Obtaining DIPLOMO on the network
- Using World Wide Web

2) Obtaining DIPLOMO on floppy disk
To obtain DIPLOMO on floppy disk, send an empty disk (formatted
for DOS) and a self addressed return envelope to the author.
DISTRIBUTION POLICY
===================
You may redistribute DIPLOMO without paying us a fee or notifying
us, provided you do not obtain commercial advantage. If you
intend to distribute DIPLOMO to friends, associates, or to a
computer bulletin board system (BBS), we request that you
distribute the unmodified archive file DIP100.EXE rather than
the
individual files.
REGISTER TO DIPLOMO

To register to DIPLOMO send the completed registration form to
the author using mail, fax, or electronic mail.
After you have registered, you are eligible for user support by

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
===================
DIPLOMO is designed for being ported to multiple platforms with
a
variety of different operating systems and system configurations.
A version for Microsoft windows is in preparation. Versions for
Windows NT, OSII, and UNIX with Motif are planed.
Version 1 runs in text mode and various graphics modes under DOS
only.
Minimal system requirements:
----------------------------
IBM compatible computer.
480 K RAM
Floppy disk.
Desired system requirements:
----------------------------
IBM compatible computer with Intel 80286 processor or better
(optional math co-processor is used if installed)
VGA graphics compatible video card
600 K RAM
Hard disk
mouse
INSTALLATION
============
To install DIPLOMO
1. Create a directory for DIPLOMO i.e.
MKDIR C:\DIPLOMO
2. Copy the archive file 'dipxxx.exe' into this directory i.e.
COPY DIP1xx.EXE C:\DIPLPMO
3. Run the self extracting archive i.e.
DIP1xx
This will create all files required to use DIPLOMO. If you wish
you can now delete the archive file 'dip1xx.exe' and the screen
drivers (xxx.bgi) that are not required for your system.
CONDITIONS OF USE
=================
If the use of DIPLOMO leads to a publication, you must include
appropriate citations (see above), and send a reprint to the
author.

This the first release of DIPLOMO to the public domain.
Version 1.01 - July 15. 1993
Fix of a floating point error that could occur when the states-
mode was applied to particular data values.
Version 1.02 - August 1. 1993
Correction of bug that could impeed the monitor windows print
option.
DIV2PS now has a option to print in portrait , landscape and
square orientation
Version 1.03 - September 1995
Correction of a bug that occurred when distance data were
exported while some OTUs were hidden.
Increase maximal number of taxa to 180 OTUs.
