RSBS Scientist awarded Asia/Pacific Women in Science Laureate

Professor Jennifer Graves has this month been awarded one of five prestigious international awards worth US$100,000. Professor Graves received a 2006 L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science award on March 2 in Paris for her studies on the evolution of mammalian genomes. As the Asia-Pacific Laureate of the prestigious award, Professor Graves has been further confirmed as a role model for women in science. The international jury which decided the laureates for 2006 included a group of 15 prominent life scientists, led by Gunter Blobel, who received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1999.
